The NKHPC is one of eight regional coalitions in Kentucky tasked with disaster preparedness planning among hospitals, health departments, other healthcare organizations and community partners. This broad coalition allows members to build relationships among hospitals, other healthcare facilities, public health, and additional partners throughout the region.
The NKHPC encompasses nine counties of Northern Kentucky including Boone, Campbell, Grant and Kenton counties making up the service area of the Northern Kentucky Independent District Health Department; Carroll, Gallatin, Owen, and Pendleton counties making up the service area of the Three Rivers District Health Department; and Bracken County making up the service area of Bracken County Health Department. There are nine hospitals located in the NKHPC area.
